Going into my 6th day of work this week. Yesterday I was demonstrating a needlefelting machine at our guild's local quilt show!
This machine uses no thread! It has 5 needles inside the clear plastic guard. The needles force fibers from the top layer into the bottom or base layer. I used batting which was watercolored to give it a head start on being "ART". [above parts of spring, summer, fall and winter pieces]. Interesting yarns and threads are placed on top of the bacground and moving the piece freely, (there are no feed dogs) the needles quickly create a bond adhereing the embellishments to the background. Fun!
This is also a great tool for piecing small batting pieces into larger, quilt-sized ones! It can be sometimes be used to hem without thread too!!!!
Being at the quilt show was great fun! I saw many people I have known from the last 30 years. Former students and friends from other cities.
Today, I may finish a crib quilt I am making as well as work on a skirt from a cute Kwik Sew pattern.

I was wondering where you had been. In fact, I stopped by to ask if you were okay. Well, six days of work - that explains it!
