Wedding photos finally come...the photographer captured SO many moments! lots of the scenes have the grandkids!

The wedding was in Savannah, GA in May. A beautiful outdoor "farm" venue!

From these well done photos I almost feel like I was at the wedding! I think my grandkids had a wonderful time! Thank-you to Hailee and Sherry! It is so wonderful when your babysitter loves you enough to ask you to be in her wedding!

 

Christmas us coming....10 days to go!

We tried a new recipe for Pull-apart pepperoni breadUses pizza dough, so we used gluten free dough,
(Available from Bob's Red Mill).

Use your favorite marinara sauce for dipping. Bake with lots of cheese and pepperoni...I added Canadian bacon too!

My daughter has her beautiful tree up and shining!

I am working on some gifts. Fleece has been on sale so I have made some throws for family members!

A pink camouflage inspired throw for a sister in law who loves to hunt! And this throw with horses for a brother!

I attended a very sweet wedding yesterday in a town nearby.

The beautiful, happy bride! As she says, now, about herself, "Sadie, Sadie, married lady!"

I love her darling outfit, the beautiful flowers, and the wedding cake was red velvet with a white and black polka dot frosting! Might be inspiration for a painting soon!
Probably no painting until next year....we'll see!

Family time in Wisconsin


This is the old farmhouse which is being lovingly remodeled and lived in by my niece and her family which includes four children, ages 7 months to 10 years. It was built by her husband's great uncle.


Thanksgiving night, the engaged couple opened a few gifts. Here the bride-to-be examines the label on the quilt we made for them. Below, Mr. Pear and our son and daughter-in-law outdoors on a beautiful sunny (and not too cold!) day before the wedding.



The wedding was on Saturday afternoon in a small but beautiful church, St. John's Lutheran in Hayes, Wisconsin. Here is an image from the Internet of the church being constructed in 1904. It has a VERY tall steeple and is a yellow brick church with stained glass windows. The last photo in this post is me holding my 7-month old great nephew while waiting for the ceremony to begin.

We have a family wedding coming up! Nephew Ben and his fiancee, Natalie.

I made a special heart shaped quilt label for them while I was at work....using the embroidery feature of a new machine.....then it was hand sewn to the back of the quilt.

The queen-sized quilt is called "Arkansas Crossroads" and uses mainly blues and greens, the couple's favorite colors. The 4-patches are from my stash and family scraps...

My daughter and son-im-law exchanging vows in Jamaica, as my granddaughter looks on. (I sewed the flower girl dress with the turquoise silk sash. My daughter wore her paternal grandmother's pearls and had native orchids in her hair.)
Advance rains from Hurricane Wilma are on the horizon.

Another successful destination wedding!

This photo was taken on the way to the ceremony...we walked. The vegetation was so green and lush, shading the paths to the site of the wedding ceremony. It was partly cloudy the afternoon of the wedding....Hurricane Wilma was approaching!
I was truly joyful to be with family! With me and Mr. Pear is our son Andrew. At that time, we hadn't seen him for many months as he lived in Flagstaff. (My dress was a silk and linen brocade....subtle paisley and floral, in a coral pink.)

Andrew brought his future fiancee

(and now his wife!), Mary, along to Jamaica so we met her for the first time too!
