A day off from work and a call in to the doctor. My poison ivy seems to turn into hives, moving around and tormenting me. So I will soon pick up an oral medication which could help!
Meanwhile, I am planning to keep the air conditioner cranked up and stay cool....of course this is my day for yoga class too!
I'm afraid to go near my garden until the poison ivy nearby is removed....and that is not being taken care of very quickly. :-(
I am praying for rain as I can't go out and water this morning. It IS cloudy, so it could happen! My "Cherokee Purple" tomato has 2 huge tomatoes which are beginning to turn red! I am so excited. I will have someone pick them and bring them in soon!

Meanwhile, a little bit of organizing in the studio....
Here a three ring binder with page protectors holds ephemera and clippings which may end up in collages. This is much better than having them piled in a shallow box! Now I can see what I have to work with and even enjoy placing them in visual relationships in the page protectors!
Flower clippings
Frida and turquoise
[A few minutes later, having decided that yoga class is not a good idea] I've been out to the mail box just now....(in the front yard, not near the poison ivy in the back yard), and found a lovely card from Janet!

just to see them all together in the binder it is so beautiful!
I'm going to try that method of organizing some of my ephemera.
Sorry your poison ivy is still giving you trouble. Stay away from the garden for awhile!
Love the garden pages you've done. I think that's much safer than actually being in the garden right now.
How nice to get a pretty card on a day when you have to be slowing down. I love your garden page. Feel better soon.
Hi, Lila,
I just got a card from Janet too. Mine is all lovely yellows and blacks, with a blackbird (crow?) and a butterfly. Isn't she great?

I was going to leave another comment on a different post and now I see it's all one post!! I'm sorry you now have hives. When I had hives my doctor gave me the six-pack: 6 pills the first day, five the second, and so on for six days. They worked reall well. They were steroids and I felt WONDERFUL the whole week. No wonder athletes take steroids!
Yes,Janet is a sweet presence in the blogging community!
I'm on that same 6 pack of steroids...and that combined with the great weather today, I think I can "Kill a Bear" or at least get lots accomplished here at home!
