Remember the tomatoes we picked on Thursday evening? Cherokee Purple heirloom variety?
Then we put them a paper bag to ripen.......
This morning we are definitely seeing some progress. I'll check again in a couple of days![two words pulled at "random"..1)indigo- a quiet deep twilight blue color, it is beautiful on its own but works well with others! 2) pears-ordinary,commonplace, nurturing, with a decidedly feminine shape.] Musings and findings resulting from following my bliss...I love to sketch and paint...so I have watercolors to post also!

Won't be long now - ohhhh a tomato sandwich, or corn on the cob, hot out of the pot, with cold sliced tomatoes, or cucumber salad with tomatoes - hmmmm better pick more tomatoes. :-)
Wow! Purple tomatoes aren't something I want to think about. Too close to the dreaded Eggplant.
A friend of mine gave me a Cherokee Purple at farmer's market Friday. She told me to try it and I'd never eat another red one. I'm going to make us tomato sandwiches from it tonight with it. I can't imagine it being better than good old homegrown red tomatoes. But we'll see.
