This is a portion of the"altered walls" in the small
bathroom off of my art/sewing studio.
I tried to remove old wall paper ( the walls hadn't been properly sized before it was hung....) to no avail. So I found this wallpaper with writing already on it...(it was a kitchen wallpaper). I simply collage many things on the top of the wall paper...it is an on-going wall art journal!
This makes me smile everytime I go in there!

This is great Lila! Oh would that I could do something like this in my dining room.. Unfortunately we rent our house and I doubt the owner would be too happy about "altered walls".. If it were MY house every room would have whatever color, treatment, murals, art I wanted.. Maybe someday...
Thanks for your comment to my blog!
This is beautiful! I love caligraphy, monograms and stencils so this looks great to me. Great idea!
I found your blog through your comment on Daisy's site. I like to do that so I can see all the vast array of bloggers I have not yet met. I think your art is fantastic, your watercolors absolutely lovely. This idea to collage on wallpaper is genius! Finding a great background and "journaling" it with collage - fabulous. I am thinking since my home is small I could do this in the hall. nice to meet you and thank for the great idea.
What a simple but brilliant idea, it is absolutely fantastic.
That is such a fantastic idea! And I love the writing on the wall - no pun intended!

Thank you for coming by my blog, I am happy to have followed you back to your enchanting place!!
