Lovely little ladies and gentlemen at a story time tea party. Stories, songs, lessons in manners and luscious petit fours were served to an appreciative audience!

[two words pulled at "random"..1)indigo- a quiet deep twilight blue color, it is beautiful on its own but works well with others! 2) pears-ordinary,commonplace, nurturing, with a decidedly feminine shape.] Musings and findings resulting from following my bliss...I love to sketch and paint...so I have watercolors to post also!

When my youngest was little I used to read him Miss Spider's Tea Party and I think my daughter did a project in school about the book. She made cupcakes with little spider legs from licorice and they had cute faces!
What fun ~ I love petits fours!
I'm familiar with Miss Spider too.
She does have lovely tea parties.
This looks like a fun way to learn etiquette.
:-)
This reminds me of the tea parties I used to share with my mom (and my teddies and dolls).
I'm sure everyone at this tea party will have wonderful memories to cherish.
I sort of shuddered a bit at the thought of a spider giving a tea party, thinking, "Well, that can't be a good thing. We all know what spiders do." So it was a relief to read that the title is from a book. How cute.
How divine. Until I read Lady Laurie's comment I didn't know Miss Spider was a character in a book.
I have never had a petit four but would love to try one.

I seem to have lost the comments from Julie and from Mary Timme. Is it me or Blogger?
This is just the sweetest! My Granddaughter Kayla and I had alot of tea parties when she was a little girl. So you brought back some wonderful memories for me. I haven't read Miss Spiders Tea Party, it must be really fun!
Your pictures are perfect...so cute. Your, Mary
