[two words pulled at "random"..1)indigo- a quiet deep twilight blue color, it is beautiful on its own but works well with others! 2) pears-ordinary,commonplace, nurturing, with a decidedly feminine shape.] Musings and findings resulting from following my bliss...I love to sketch and paint...so I have watercolors to post also!

This is beautiful...oh and how I love lilacs, my Mom used to grow them and we would have vases of them around the house every spring. They don't grow down here in Mississippi, so I have to be content with Casswell~Massey Lilac soap!
Just beautiful! Lilacs are so fragrant and so delicate and of course being in the "purple" family, I love them!
Lila, this is absolutely lovely.
I adore lilacs and their perfume, I always cut a few for the cottage so their scent fills the rooms.
Beautiful, I love lilacs, but I don't have any in my yard.
I do love that watercolor! Very nice. Thanks for your sweet comments and I see you did as you were going to! Way to go.
On hot pressed paper? Is that to make a transfer onto fabric? I'm ignorant about this.
wow Lila your watercolors take my breath away - I love these lilacs. G grew up with them everywhere and to this day the scent of them reminds him of childhood.
XOXO
Note: Hot pressed watercolor paper is smooth and almost slick. I usually use cold pressed which has wonderful texture to"grab and hold" the paint. Paper is pressed as it is manufactured...
Love your watercolors Lila....this is pretty!!!
This is TOTALLY beautiful! Love the way you choose and use colour. A multi-talented woman! E
