A new author and series of books for these hot summer days!
My friend Paula told me about this series, which our library carries. I was not disappointed! I think of it as a kind of "Nancy Drew" for grown ups. Like Nancy, Maisie is close to her father and is following clues and solving mysteries. The time period is a good decade after WWI, in Great Britain. Her journey is intellectual and spiritual as well as psychological. Above the first in the series, "Maisie Dobbs" and the last, just published, "The Mapping of Love and Death".
So far, I have only read the first one. But I am printing out this list, of the books in order, and heading to the library. Some are also available on Audio Books.
