There are lots of other ways to access your personal information - address, etc on the web. You can find most anyone with google maps or yahoo maps, etc.
Sometimes these sites that claim to be protecting you are simply out to make money from you and don't really give you protection. And then they have all your information and might just sell it to someone. As long as you are not giving out your social security number to someone then you are safe.
