Please, go to sleep now little Sophie Jane! Your twin sister Nina Kate has been peacefully sleeping for at least an hour!
Sunday morning with the 2 week old twins..... they seem to have different temperaments too!
Nina Kate is quiet, her gray blue eyes seldom open. She eats and sleeps....Sophie squirms, watches, wiggles, is perhaps more high maintenance...still beautiful and SWEET of course!
This morning, in trying to get her down, (which is usually a simple process) she went through 3 diapers and 2 clothing changes in 10 minutes....then she was "Miss Bright Eyes"!
So, I think I can get down to the kitchen for my breakfast and coffee....s-h-h-h-h!

It's been a long time since I've cared for a baby and I can't imagine taking care of two at once! You're a brave grandma!!
What a joyous time - and tiring too as you have found out. I'm only able to cope with one at a time. Did you get your coffee?
My oldest daughter has 4 children and 3 yr. old twin stepsons! Twins are a whole nother story--we had several sets when I worked at Trinity Methodist Preschool. It can be exhausting--I hope your daughter lines up some help when you go back home! Amazing how their individual personalities assert themselves from the beginning. It'll get so much better when they are older toddlers. I am loving those old fashioned names! My youngest granddaughter who just turned one yr. old this week is Emma Rose.
Yes, I was able to get that coffee!
