Saturday, UPDATE:

Experiencing intense muscle spasms the last few days, (and having visited both a walk-in-clinic and then a chiropractor) I stayed off the Rx's and just tried to let my body heal itself. I rested and read 3 books...but relaxing was hard for me. Feeling guilty for missing work...etc..
Doing things became more and more difficult and painful. Finally last night, when I hurt so bad (both arms now) and couldn't even hold the telephone while talking to daughter Laura, I decided to go back on all the Rx's including the methylprednisolone. Today, I am just resting and hoping.....not able to "DO" anything, watch movies and sleep. I know that being able to relax is a big part of healing...and that has included a few gentle yoga stretches.
Now, I must quit typing too! [although, doing this "creative" blog post has probably relaxed me more than anything else for days! Blogging to relieve tension...like journaling it IS good for us!]

Oh, Lila, that does not sound good! I hope you find some relief from the pain. Relaxing is one of my big challenges. I always have to be doing something so when I'm sick and have to rest it's very difficult. But try to give yourself lots of rest.

Oh dear Lila...I am so sorry. That explains why you weren't at my retreat day at St. Josephs yesterday. I left a message at your inbox on fb because I couldn't find your e-mail address
Sending you hugs and spiritual energy and blessings.

Oh, Lila, so so sorry that you are laid up with pain. I do hope your body can heal itself but if this persists please try acupuncture. It works! (Part of the reason is that it increases blood flow to the affected area.)

Lila, I am so sorry that you are in such pain! What a horror! No one minds missing a few days of work when they are just resting comfortably and able to read, blog, etc. Sending good thoughts down south and hoping you are well soon!
