Here in Little Rock we have been having non-stop rain!
So much for my plan of doing touch-up painting on the threshold of my mom's house and other odd jobs outside....I have done the cleaning of bathrooms and then rewarded myself with lots of knitting time....(the first sock of a pair of socks!)
I did pick up the latest issure of Fons and Porter's "Love of Quilting" magazine. This is the cover quilt. My mother loves red and has a fabric stash with most of these colors....so tomorrow, if the rain continues, I will pull fabrics and start making this....another project! (I also had to visit Hancock's, just up the street here, and get some "acid" greens to spark the quilt.)

What a beautiful quilt to start working on! It sounds like you have a good plan for a rainy day!

Oh dear, I do hope the sun starts shining for you soon! I know the rain is needed at times but not ALL the time! We've had so many thunderstorms in the last week, I've lost count!! I'm so envious that you know how to quilt...I adore quilts and yet have never learned how to make them. Looking forward to seeing your version of that cover quilt!!! xox

I love that quilt too. Most Fons and Potter quilts are a bit too something for my taste, but this is one that is lovely. I'm glad you can do all those inside jobs when it is raining. And it has been raining there! Whew! You are getting dumped on down there.

Although constant rain can dampen the best laid plans it IS a good time to do projects indoors. What a lovely quilt and the colors will be fantastic..... and acid green...oohlala!
I want to do SO many various things I need about 3 more sets of hands. I miss sewing and yet I keep getting sidetracked trying new ventures. I seem to sew more in winter for some reason.
Enjoy your time with your Mom.
XOXO

Hi Lila,

That's a beautiful quilt. The colors wake up my soul. You would have enjoyed the fabric swap that I attended this weekend.

PS: I'm writing to you from a cafe near my house. I don't have internet right now, so I'll be here, but perhaps less frequently. Thanks for the enouraging comment. You have no idea of the artist doubt that took over me this weekend.

I love rain BUT only if I am home and it rains for only a few hours.
About your Today's post: Hoping your house projects don't take you too long and don't stress you too much...
I have seen your quilts pictures so I know how lovely they are!
