Remember when spring and Easter meant new shoes?
I'm playing with 4x4's today and hope to catch up a bit on the Finding Water...chapter 3!
Blogging has helped me locate even more "believing mirrors" , who reflect back to me my strengths and give a clear reflection of my best efforts. Encouragement without being mushy.
Thank-you...and feel free to offer constructive insights!
Here are more of my 4x4's from today.

Those shoes made me think of my mom. She loved that style. I think she called them spectator pumps. And yes, I do remember that Easter meant a new dress, a spring coat, and shoes. Now no one ever dresses up for anything!

Oh yes I remember Easter outfits so well! One of my favorite easter pictures was when I was 4 and standing in the church parking lot with my family. My mom and I had these awesome "Jacki O" outfits with matching coats and hats. Where have those days gone?? I just checked out your 4x4's and they are just beautiful!

I especially remember my Meg O'Brien hat one Easter! I loved that hat! Ah, a stroll down memory lane.

I loved your quilt! I'd never have the patience for doing that. All those pieces! Wow!

My mother loved spectator pumps - in fact every Easter was a big deal for her and the new outfit. Since I was the only girl I got the whole new outfit too - as a wee girl I had the dress, coat, hat AND gloves for Easter Sunday church. Many times my mom made both our outfits herself. I wish I still had some of those things.
Your 4x4's brought all that back.
AND I tend to be a bit mushy but it's sincere!
XOXO
