Remember the amaryllis???

I found it on the porch....still beautiful in it's own way! The stamens even have clear crystalized sparkly beads of nectar...what to do with this???

Here is one artist's beautiful book of ideas!

I know I'm not likely to make any fairie clothing from the ethereal petals, but they might end up on an ATC...Photocopies if not real dried petals!

The second photo is still beautiful. Just in a different way. I love the softness of the colors and the petals. I think that would make a great painting!

Well, what to do with the old amyarillis? Would you consider composting? I like to keep a running composter going all the time.

Hi Lila, these could certainly be added to your list of beautiful things.

Downward facing dog is a wonderful pose.

I've had Amarylis Blooms more than once from the same bulb. After all the blossoms are gone....peel back a few layers on the bulb and replant....it comes back up!!!

I saw that link on Ulla's site and couldn't believe how amazing those fairy clothes were. I saw some place, maybe a tv show where a woman uses cabbage leaves and other such things, she somehow preserves them.
I love the idea of photocopying the petals and using them in ATC's. Clever gal!!
XOXO
