We love to do our armchair traveling via the television.....our library has videos of this modern romantic series filmed in Scotland.
Archie MacDonald, is burdened with the family estate and all of its problems...not to mention his crazy father, dreamy mother and several young women who find him very attractive!

I remember watching this on the TV a few years ago. I think it stars Susan Hampshire, at some point.
Yes, Susan Hampshire plays his sweet,ditsy(?), artistic mother...she gardens and paints and gambles( a real card shark!).
Some may remember her as FLeur in the Forsythe Saga (Masterpiece Theater).

You probably did buy Maeve Courteau's spoons from her on the square. I bought quite a few from her there as well.
The display that I showed is on the wall by the cafeteria at Washington Regional Hospital in Fayetteville. Lucky you, it's in your town so you can see it anytime. When my mother was in the hospital in Fayetteville, I took that photo.
I think this was on tv but I never saw it. I'll have to look for it now....you make it sound very interesting.
